How to improve your mental health: Begin each day with Gratitude

 Maintaining my mental wellbeing can be a challenge. It has been rough dealing with the ups and downs throughout my life. One minute I am in a chipper mood, and the next I'm feeling down and out. I know that having the right mindset is the first step towards having a better day. So I continue to work on it and encourage my clients as well.  Allowing the mind to be filled with thoughts of fear or dread will only keep you in that mental state. I don’t allow myself to stay there too long as it keeps me from being the amazing person I truly am. I’m getting better and better each day by starting with a few deep breaths and then taking time to mention what I am most grateful for in that moment. I take the first opportunity in the morning when I first wake up.  I speak it into the universe, “good morning, thank you for allowing me to wake up and here's to trying again, thank you for my health, my son, my family, thank you for the sun, for water, food, electricity…”   My list can go on

 How can I help heal my body?  Hydrate your Health and Wellness Stay hydrated and lubricated for optimal mental health, gut health, joint health, skin, and hair health, and overall wellness!  Drink clean water with a balanced amount of natural electrolytes and minerals. Remember balance and all things in moderation is key. Your body needs a balanced ph alkalinity versus acidity in certain instances so don’t go overboard with alkaline water!  My rule of thumb is to drink half of my body weight in ounces each day, or at least 10 cups of mostly water and some water-based products such as tea.  I’ve chosen to avoid alcohol, processed sugary drinks, or coffee and instead stick to green teas and herbal beverages when I need caffeine. Miscarriage, unexpected: Help Coping with a loss

Finding out that I was pregnant was a joyful moment. I had all of the butterfly feelings in my stomach, eager and ready to embrace the journey of being pregnant again. We had our challenges unknowingly, trying to conceive for almost a year.   I knew something was different this time, I had actually remembered the day when I ovulated and what I felt that day. So when I saw my positive pregnancy test I was thrilled. Check-in: "Do you enjoy sexy time?" Having a lack of desire, fear, or shame in expressing your desires creates anxiety, repression, and depression. Growing up I received mixed messages about sexual health. I learned early about my body and had an appreciation for it, but still, there was this shame, this fear of exploring and empowering my comfort and desires. I knew well how to please my man, and even what I liked but wasn’t able to openly express and experience it freely. Over and over I find my sex drive on a tangent whether it’s from increased stress, my husband’s stress, now having a son who is always around, hormones imbalanced so I’m either not exactly in the mood, or worse; I shame myself for even having sexual desires because of the current circumstances. After having my son, I’ve gone through tremendous body changes, hormonal imbalances, and other experiences that have all impacted my self-esteem. I used to be energized and ready to go jump on it in a heartbeat, wit
